Hi all,

yarm_uk put me onto you lot, so blame him!

Me names Gav, and as you'll have guessed from my "nickname", I'm a boro fan! (Lets get that out of the way quickly due to the current lack of form!).
I'm 35, been fishing for just under a year, thanks to yarm_uk for getting me interested in the art of drowning maggots!
I live in Brotton, near Saltburn, and have fished a few local venues over the last 12 months, mainly Dromonby at GreatBroughton, Ingleby pond (nearby) and also Renny and Morndykes.

I'm currently on the market for a pole, had a Daiwa Yank and Bank reccomended to me, so if anyone knows where I can grab a bargain then it would be much appreciated!
I'm slowly building up tackle etc, so I will ofcourse be on the hunt for hints and tips!

If anyones anywhere in the local area (Within a 30mile radius) and fancy's a days fishing then give me a shout, I'll endeavour to get out as often as possible this year!
I am sending off to join Middlesbough Angling club, mainly so I can fish at New Marske reservoir and the 2 ponds in Hutton Rudby that they have, so if anyone knows how they are fishing lately and want to oofer some friendly advice then I am all ears!

Cheers, and I'll hopefully see some of you opposite side of the watery stuff!

hello mate and welcome to the forum and the madness. i live in saltburn and am a member of boro angling club. i couldnt really comment on how the resi and hutton are fishing because i didnt really fish them last year but the year before i didnt do to bad on the resi or at hutton but im no super angler lol. im hoping to fish the resi over the next week or so but with all the cold weather and the fresh melt water in there im not expecting it to be to good.  had some good days on the bream in the warmer months though. if you do get your membership i advise fishing the dam wall side of the resi in the colder months due to it been deeper  Grin

There's a yank n bank on talk angling £70 but be quick, they dont stay around long, especially at that price. Oh and Hi, fished morndyke a time or 2 so might see you there when it gets a bit warmer.
