Well! we goin to Sessay on sunday, my lads actin as porters, ( just had a knee op)and I'm deciding which rods and reels to take, I've jut bought a Shakespeare Mach1 xt specialist float/ledger rod, I'll be taking that, and my new Sensas 10ft carp rod, light as a feather, instead of the shimano and Daiwa reels I usually take I'll be taking the 2 Okuma Silvara reels I bought off here from Dale, tenner a piece and 5 year gaurantee, seem to work well, ( might just pop me 8000 in the bag incase lol ) anyway I'll post if its worth doin so when I get back, see how cheap and cheerful work.

I had a Okuma Silvara RD40 and they are a good reel, never had any problems with it but got rid of it when i sold my carping gear. I might even have a spare spool knocking around. Ill have a look tonight and let you know.

temperatures are on the way down for the weekend like, i think you should be alright mate but there might be a touch of ice down there, if i was going id probs fish maple or poplars down the track with maggot - pellet if theres no ice on them, i mean its not gona be frozen solid so i think you should be alright. ;)
