Slow going for the 3 who fished - me, kev and norm. Peg 5 feeder rod.

I had a few roach (biggest approaching a 1lb), perch and only a couple of skimmers. All to double maggot except one skimmer and that was to bread. Kev had a nice bream to bread, at least 5lb, bigger than his landing net, also had a decent skimmer on corn. Norm had a reasonable perch.

The seagull pinched half of Norm's pie then his bait, it tried to neck the half pie in one go. It comes really close to you now so watch your bait and food!!

Nice to get out though first time for about 4 weeks, still a bit of ice this morning but had gone later in the day. Hard going but pleasant. Visited by Rich and Gav who went for a wander.

least you got a few anyway mate , i think it will take the fish a few days to get used to these tempereatures before they really get their heads down and have a feed but kev will be happy with that bream, dont mind sitting it out for a slab. im on the tees saturday but i m thinking of going down myself sunday and having a proper good go for em.

Feeder Airey, he was fishing the pole but had a feeder rod out to his side. When the bream took the bait it pulled the rod off it's rest. He was peg 4 a good chuck out past the tower.

Hair rigged corn and hair rigged bread using a strange guru hook and quickstops. Hook was sharp as Fook.

Bit of warmer weather will make a big difference, took until 11am to get first fish today.

ive got some of them guru qm1s there, i havent used them yet like but the shape of em just screems pellet fishing to me, summers not far away now anyway lads, i reckon weve seen the worst of the winter and i reckon things are on the up. airey you and shaun were getting some of them proper bream on the pole last summer wrent yas, ive never had a good un on the pole like from the resi, biggest about 2lb but im hoping to get a pb bream from the resi this summer, anything over 5.10oz and ill be a happy chappy.

ill probz have more chance of pb bream from the tees like but there you go.

you wont get a 5lber out the tees mate. I had em over 5lb on the pole from the resi last year , i think airey had them over 6lb

i only fished there twice last year . i had 3 bream between 3lb 12oz and 4lb 8oz and a 6lb 8oz carp. Peg 18.

never weigh em but had 18 bream over 4lb to about 6lb all one after the other amongst about 50lb of skimmers

Peg 4, halfway across to tower. 7lber and 6.5lber on same day and weighed by one of the carp lads. Bream on the pole from other pegs, no carp or decent perch yet 

Both on sonubaits tiger fish soft hookers I had left over from the oaks.

I hope to get down to the resi i bit more this year . Might fish the matches . My mate won  a couple on there last year.

I got ripped off by what looked to be a tench on peg 18 didnt I geggy , big fooker asswel. On double 5 laggy , lol . We only caught a glims of it as it shot off, took my bait on the drop

I'll bet there's a small number of big tench in there would be quality to get one.

 Look forward to meeting you and other cabin members at the resi. went down and met Jday and Airey a  few weeks ago . i dont drive so our lass  as to drop me off when i do go . i only joined Middlesbrough  Angling Club middle of last year so i only managed 2 sessions on the resi. Peg 18 both times.lol
