Back to Dinsdale
« on: February 09, 2012, 05:48:24 pm »
Well me and Basha braved the cold today and had a go at dinsdale again i opted for my favourite swim and Basha headed off down stream to do a bit of roving, I blanked and Basha had one good wrap round when i was with him only to miss it, then he lost a good fish of about 4lb at the net the barbless hook slipped and bye bye fish....we started about 8am and thought it was gonna be a good day forcast was cloudy until around 3pm....how wrong that was almost half a hour after we arrived it started and didnt let up,sleet hail and rain!!! the water was very very very low and clear i could hold bottom upstream with a tiny 10gram feeder, there must have been all of a foot of water in the middle and 6 inches at my feet, should have moved really and searched out the deeper water but the rain and sleet had got the better of me and Basha so we called it a day around 2pm and headed home in the rain...even my home made bread didnt save the day today!! ;)

Well done for braving the elements today. And you lost a fish, so you can still get bites in the worst of it.
