FOOK ALL, got there for 8.30 and it was frozen solid, got a channel broke up in to the deep water and didnt get a bite in 4 hours fishing, ian was there fishing the whip and he had a few tiny perch but by 1 i was ready for the off, wind was a bit of a broblem with presentation but i started to lose interest after a few hours so i just packed up and sat chatting to ian and kev who popped down to pick a rod up off ian, it needs a couple of weeks of warm temps and it should pick up but im getting a bit bored of the place now, still gona fish it when it warms up for the skimmers but im not braking no ice down there again. ;D

its when the rivers come into play, apart from the lower tees, cant beat a bitt ov running water.not always easy with low clear conditions but atleast u dont have the hassles of breaking ice and rod strait in.if u can manage with freezing up rod rings.

should be spot on for the chub like, all this snow melt tonight should put a touch of extra water in it for ya tommorow, apparently its being really low and clear, a few days of mild temps with a bit of rain should do it the world of good, we were thinking of going to helperby next week but could really do with a weather change.
