I have done alot of fishing with Drummy yes.... lets just say we dont exactly see eye to eye anymore. But hey there you go.

I think with hemlington one of the other problems other than the "kids" is people used to over feed it thinking it will get the pretty much "wild Carp" to feed. Before it was re stocked going back about 4 years, fish up to 15lb were found at the inlet end with there bellys bust open and full and i mean full of expanders. Back then you saw no match/course anglers at all just people with bivvys. Sound lads all of them and they would say for 2-3 days and cause no trouble at all.

But I saw one lad bring his gear in 4 times in 25 minutes and put a tennis ball size PVA bag on each time at a marker float, just unclipping his leader and putting another one on and casting in again. If that isnt over feeding a small head of fish that dont get a regular feed i dont know what is. I mean im no Carp angler but I see that as a little to much...

i think its £2.75 a day which isnt bad and thats only if they come to collect your money. Loads of parking and on the plus side, the scum dont seem to come out during the day so its a nice place to be.

thats the problem with it as i say, they cant be chewed coming round for the money but expect u to go to them, honest anglers would prob do so,but majority dont.a lot of money spent on the place and it will go to waste as it did before, needs some good management and it would be 1 hell of a cracking place.

used to love the old hemmo lake going back 2oyrs or so when u had the weed and channels, cracking spot....potential is there but they cant expect a place to look after itself,u see so many waters in the same senario, money spent when really its wasted.

potential gold mine, regualr organised matches, and orderly run, could be excellent.
