This simple machines forum is a doddle to use. You can create different user groups and set individual permission for each board on the forum to let only certain user groups view it and then moving on from that only certain usergroups can post. Or like I said previously you can have a completely private room for a member group of affiliated members to view.

I still say private private private. sh£tloads of guest having the ability to view our posts is ballocks it on takes 2 mins to register. anyways had my little rant.

I know another forum where there is  private members area, and to access it you need to be a fully paid up subscriber. Maybe that could be the way to go.
But as someone mentioned in a earlier post, a small subscription each year would help towards the running costs, trophys for any cabin only matches or memorial events.
Even if it was as little as a fiver a year. It would be a token of appreciation to the people who devote time and effort to keeping the site up and running.
