First of all lads, the resi isnt frozen over, no ice in site so you lot should have a good day ;D

I fished peg 7 and had some nice roach and a few good skimmers on the pole and double maggot! they wernt to interested in single maggot or pinkie but loved the double maggot ;D Not a touch on the punch.

There were only 3 of us fishing today. Norman, Paul from guisborough and me. Norman was on peg 3 and had some tiny perch a few gonks and some  roach on the waggler. Paul was on peg 5 and struggled but had a few roach on feeder after getting nothing on his pole.

Ian the window cleaner wasnt fishing but turned up later for a chat. He will be fishing tomorrow. Have a good day lads ;)

Weather was great today, sun was out all day and kept us warm. The water was a little still for me. I like a ripple on the water. Good luck tomorrow, get there nice and early and get peg 4! That will upset Ian ;D ;D

decent bites on the pole like ean or were they dead finiky, last time i went the bites were just little nocks, they werent ripping it under,
did you not give the pellet a go for the skimmers, im thinking about fishing maggot short at about 9m but feed a few micros long at 13 and just keep trying it throughout the day.

The bites were finiky untill I over shot my float then used some bristle grease. That made hitting bites better but I did bump a few.  I fish expander in the warmer months mate. I tend to use maggots, pinkies and worms in the winter. Thats just me. Its worth a bash on pellet. Just dont overfeed them ;)

Try pellets but I tend to use them from Spring onwards really, maggots rule for now. Skimmers on bread were good solid bites, found them not be as finicky as maggot anyway.

Least you got out mate, weather seemed okay when the sun was out and very little wind.
I aided the resi poachers!!!

Sun was out all day Paul, its was that warm that one of my mates popped in to see me for half an hour and stayed for 2 hours. I took my coat off and had my polaroids on as the suns in your eyes all day on the deep side.

Fishing was good, had plenty of bites and a fair few fish. The roach were a very good stamp. You out fishing tomorrow?
