Rich, 100% agree with website needed Not sure of the cost involved but surely can't be that much ? May be a good idea to involve members and make MAC more of a community.

With regard to the woods, last time I was there I was talking to the bloke who's doing a lot of the chopping and burning. He said he had been asked to leave the trees and was now only taking down the hawthorns and other smaller bushes.

I offered to do ron a website for mac for free , just a simple one , just pay for domain name and use virgin media free webspace etc. wasnt interested , said they would bring it up at the agm.

Now lads.... I did not want to have to interupt this post but I think it has got a little out of hand and seems like a few handbags at dawn. Now, John Mac I can tell you mate that Dale (angler c) is a member of the committee for Middlesbrough Angling Club and also a member of the cabin. He has been a member since 2009 and is not a regular poster as you can see from the number of times he has posted on the cabin. The reason the information is on here first, is a number of factors. One of them being that we have put a section on the cabin just for the MAC to post up news about the club and its waters similar to what we have done for Wilton AC, so naturally Dale is going to post any info on the cabin first. Also remember that as he is on the committee and he has stated that the meetings are the last thursday of the month so of course he is going to post the news on here for members to see. I am not aware that other forums have a section specifically for Middlesbough AC like the cabin does but I do know that Dale would post the info here first because that is the whole point we set up the MAC board. John, I can understand that you feel its a bit of a coincedence but I think that is all it is mate, as you can see the meetings are the end of the month. One thing I do know (my brother works in insurance) is that the premiums have gone through the roof hence the reason no guests, weeks ago I even asked belly if someone could fish, but insurance matters stopped that. I think you will find lots of Angling clubs will have the same thing happen all over the country.
