To all M.A.C members.
Just attended the committee meeting tonight and the decision has been made to STOP, with imediate effect, the day tickets available to non members for Marske Reservoir!!! This unfortunate decision has been made due to the rising costs of the clubs insurance for its current members, going up considerably more to cover non members than the day ticket revenue brings in!
Hope this decision puts no-one at an inconvienience and that current members can fully understand the stance the committee has reluctantly taken, taking into account keeping the clubs fixed cost at a managable level in comparison with its membership base!

I smell something fishy ( no pun intended ), I get the impression that there is an elliment of jelousey towards a couple of lads who where only going for one session. Just my opinion

Still find it hard to believe it's only one of the waters, why not the others? Although the restocking of LP was through the council so I suppose they have to keep that as it is. Least the cormorants got a good feed.

I didnt know hutton had day ticket options. I thought locke park and the resi were the only two you could buy day tickets for.

Huttons not day ticket. So is Locke park not day ticket anymore either? Surely u can't have one rule for one water and another elsewhere

It just seems a bit of a coincidence that they have imposed this ban this weekend.
Plus Angler C came online only for a few minutes then went off, why not stay on and see what other members thought ?

Looking,at it slim they have had different rules as Hutton never day ticket but maske was .
Insurance has gone up as wilton have stopped allowing guests due to it.
If,the lads wanted to fish masked that badly sure they would just join .

The decision  has had nothing to do with "a few" anglers who use this forum, if that was the case and it was going to offend or point the finger i certainly would not have put my name to it!!! There has been no contact to the committee from other members about any day ticket anglers using the resi!! Hutton ponds, the swale & tees waters have no day ticket option attatched to them so Marske is the only club 'CONTROLLED' water this would apply to!! Locke park is council controlled so any insurance issues would be a matter for them, the club was asked to keep its name connected to the fishing in locke park and has had no monetary contribution to the stocking policies of the lake!! The reason for posting this topic on Anglers Cabin was to take advantage of the M.A.C section on here and inform as many members ASAP knowing that a fair number of members use the forum!!

Not sure it works like that.....some clubs offer day tickets or guest tickets to provide a xtra source of income sometimes to their own depremant....but sometimes for the best....just because someone wants to fish there water once doesnt mean they should join???  And while im pokin fingers in chests....why are boro ac so bloody secretive about there waters?? Every club now has its own site letting people know what they have...is MAC ashamed...i think so !!??
