Couple of the older blokes who go reckon it's not much of a bread water. How about corn as a  backup or wrong time of year? (not that i seem to have done much good there on corn lol)

I havnt fished bread there mate but I am going to on my next visit. To be honest mate I dont listen to people saying things dont work at the resi!! They could just be fishing it all wrong. I like to try myself and draw my own conclusions :)

I always take corn, fake maggots might be worth a bash if you have any or dead maggots (I keep some in the freezer)

i was there today paul, fished from 9 till 2 on the pole in to 14 foot of water a few foot of the tower with maggot feeding tiny balls of groundbait, first half hor was slow but picked up as the day went on, ended up with 34 roach and 7 skimmers, biggest roach about 8oz and the skimmers were all about 8 oz too. not a bad day for the winter but i reckon if that wind wasnt so strong and i could have presented the rig better, id have deffinately had more skimmers, but thats winter fishing i suppose, have agood un tomora mate.
