Important Message to Anglers Cabin
« on: March 22, 2011, 12:39:33 pm »
Lads, from now on could anything that is being organised under the cabin name, no matter what, be passed by me first as the owner of the site I would like a little more of a heads up with things that are going on. I have been funding this site for nearly 8 years now and also have contributed the trophies for the annual hoppy match and got prizes on some occassions. I might not post as much as all you lads, but that does not mean I don't monitor the site on a daily basis.

Hope nobody takes offence to this.

Regards

Zimmo

Matches and anything else should be ran by the site owner if it involves the name in any way or other.....

I wouldnt pay for trophies out my own pocket ether, not cos im a tight arse or anythin just think it shud be a group thing for those involved, and each individual should make a contribution, whether its a pound or a penny.... Zimmos the daft one for doing it which ive told him but he his actually just that nice of a guy .... sorry if anyone thinks different or takes offence quite frankly i couldnt care less ...

I will be having a memorial for our lasses Grandad at some point this year as well so would hope some of you would make up numbers if needed or whatever, not sure how many lads knew him,but if you didnt you'll have heard him lol

ernie was well known, well liked and well respected dj, yet another sad loss to the angling group and of course his family and friends . i have always said that i would fish any memorial match, so if you do a match dj i will be there some how.
if it never bobs its my float,

Met Ernie plenty of times and had quite a few conversations with him from opposite sides of the river bank, not exactly a shy retiring type was he, good crack though even if he was'nt the quietest of anglers

He could'nt have been that old was he 63 64 or somewhere abouts?

As our Mark has just said we knew Ernie for well over 30 years, you could always have a laugh with Ernie and you always knew when he was in the area. Sadly missed

RIP Ernie !!
