a new tackle shop opening up  @ portrack lane http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/our-stores there dosnt seem to be alot to shout about might be worth a look.

Just had a look round here and was suprised to see some decent gear in there. They stock Fox, Shakespeare, Middy, Abu, Dynamite Baits and loads of other stuff that I've never heard of, the prices are spot on aswell if you get a discount card which costs £4 a year ;)

The prices were less than you pay in your tackle shop, I got a couple of spools of Maxima line and that was only £2.50 each. They had Goretex jackets for less than £90 which is a bargain when you look at Daiwa prices :o

went to go outdoors this morning absolutely chocker  block headed straight over to were the fishing tackle is i was surprised not too bad most of the tackle is not top of the range but ok
the ground bait is cheaper than most tackle shops and on-line didnt buy any thing the place was to ram packed will go again when it quiets down abit and get some ground bait.

there was Shakespeare, Shimano rods & reels okuma reels feeder & float a good selection of bits alot of carp gear as well as clothing i.e camouflaged clothing sea fishing gear
everything is a couple of quid cheaper
the rods wernt top of the range but if your after just some odds & sods worth a look

went yesterday for the first time just to be nosey really.. all though they had a mixed selection of gear for all types of fishing i couldnt help but think the main part was aimed towards the carp angler.. most bits that i looked at were cheaper than the tackle shop but il still keep going to me tackle shop for me gear. might get some groundbait from there next time i go.

I agree actualy,Im all for a bargain,but for the sake of 50p Id rather go to the tackleshop. These big shops ar enever gona sell grotties etc are they.
