When i was younger i used to fish this lake about three or four time a year, talking like 7 years ago now, but as recent as two. I always caught small perch from here, not from howtown pier though. I used to find it a little too busy up there, i used to stay down near Pooley Bridge at Park View.

Fishing over the far side, with the small road behind you used to always get perch, again on the maggot, spraying maggot every now and then. Used to get bigger perch on worms or caster, also used to fish the bomb/feeder a bit up there but it is a little too weedy to be able to have much success. Fishing relatively close to the bank, not too much of a chuck out used to do the trick.
