my favourite species is the wels catfish being number one, zander 2nd,but i admit that salmon and sea trout have always beeen my over all favs but they are game fish, others include a skelly i caught from ulswater a few years ago in december, ide been targeting whitefish from the lakes for severall years and these are rare fish at the best of times,i was taught by some lithunaian anglers who i talk to on barbelfishingworld.com,i would like to catch a vendace just to say ive caught one,but they now only inhabit two english lakes the two scots populations are now extinct only haveing a reintroduced loch useing english stock, pumpkinseed and brown and blackbullhead catfish are also fish i like to catch, same as bitterling etc... i always like it when i catch something out of the ordinary or i hear that a new species (usually introduced ilegally) is makeing a strong hold somewhere in the country, love the challenge

Tench all the way, 1st 'big' fish I caught, so they're a bit magical to me
