Your favoruite spieces????

Judging by recent results and articles in the angling press the word is that our rivers and canals are nearly back to there best which got me thinking if given the choice which would you prefer to fish , a big commercial fishery like woodlands, whiteacres etc, a river trotting or stalking , a canal bagging roach dace and gudgeon all day, or a reservoir trying to use your knowledge to draw fish in to you .
So what type of fishing and method would be your chosen option ??? ??? ??? ;)

I have no idea mate,but I do know , that it certainly isnt carp!I know Ive done a lot of breaming this year , but I also like bagging on dace and roach and chub on a moving water.

Mine has to be Tench. Still after my 5lber that I set myself at the start of the season (worse as the wife DID get a 5lber on Holiday) :'( :'(

4lb 7oz at the moment but will get one next year. Am trying to catch one by design as well. Not fluking one on a commercial.

Its rivers all day for me,breaming on the Tees and chubbing on the swale, running a stick through shallow glides watching the stickfloat bury takes some beating ;)

Them Barbel in Woodlands fight like crazy you always seem to think youve hooked a double figure fish when youve got one on but they only end up being 2 or 3 pound in weight, bet the ones in the wild are twice as good  ??? ;) ;D

i had 2 barbel out on swallow 1 day 4lb 7oz and 4lb 8oz, they went like mad.

when im pleasure fishing i dont mind what i catch, all species welcome but in matches it has to be carp, they put the big weight in your net

i like the good old stripeys but don't get many big perch up here well not that i know off

 mine`s  pike..
                 But i have had some big perch from the tees close to 4lb..And i had a big Sargent from w/lands out of kestrel 3lb.6oz in a match during a thunder storm.....and theres a lot of big perch in fox covert w/lands..
